We know it is September...but we are going to do our best to catch up :-)  So here is our August newsletter in September and our September Newsletter will be following shortly.

It has been smoking hot here in Brea, California.  Make sure you are getting your dogs the water they need to stay hydrated.  If you have a white dog with pink skin make sure that if you are in the sun with them you are applying sunscreen so they do not burn.

I want to thank everyone who is visiting us on Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr.  If you are not following yet, make sure and do so...It is a great way to keep up with us on a day to day basis.

We just got done with another exciting contest on Facebook, when we asked our friends to come up with a caption for the picture at the upper right hand corner.  The winner was Lisa Walloch with "Crouching decoy, Flying K9".

We are days away from launching our new website.  We think you will really like it and all the features it will come with.  We are going to be bringing you stuff that will blow your mind.

Speaking of Tumblr, we have started a new training series in our Video Blogs.  On Video Blog 014 and 015 we are discussing the training of the "Release" command in regard to police dogs and protection dogs.  In some cases handlers and trainers (not us) resort to tazers, cattle prods and sticks to inhumanely and ineffectively gain the release of the equipment.  These videos and future ones will show you why the extremes just don't work and will instead we will give you effective ways of training the release....or "out" command.

We hope you all had a great August!

Welcome Cal Poly Animal Science Students   Cal Poly Website

We are so happy to have developed our relationship with the Animal Sciences wing of Cal Poly Pomona.  We have had the pleasure of working with at over 20 students from Cal Poly Pomona.  They are here to handle the dogs and learn how to train them in the many different disciplines in our system.   The dogs get so much human contact from these students and now even more opportunity to train and socialize.  We even have had the men and women decoying for our Police Academy.  They have been using training sleeve, undercover sleeves and bite suit.

You can meet one of the students and see many of the other students in action by watching our August Video Newsletter.  They are such a pleasure to work with...we even see some future trainers in the mix...so stay tuned for an update on their progress.
